What is Dates?
The homeland of dates, which is assumed to have been consumed for about 8,000 years, is the Middle East, one of the oldest settlement areas in human history. Different varieties of dates with different tastes and appearances are grown in many countries in the region. Dates, with their powerful antioxidant and cell-regenerating properties, are a complete cancer barrier. The low incidence of cancer in Middle Eastern countries is thought to be related to the high consumption of dates. Dates have a rich content of vitamins and minerals and are recommended to be consumed in meals. Dates also have great importance for the nutrition of children as well as adults.
